Our May release has just gone live, with the main thrust of work being around our preparations for the General Data Protection Regulation, coming into effect on the 25th May 2018.

You’ll have noticed that we, like almost every other company in the world it seems, have updated our terms and conditions – you’ll be asked to accept these when you sign in each time they change, giving you better visibility of what’s different.

The new Cofunds valuation service will go live later this month, re-introducing support for valuations on Cofunds following their acquisition by Aegon and platform migration.

Other small enhancements this month have been made to the risk questionnaire screens. We’ve added the ability to toggle the responses side by side. Whilst we recommend asking the clients the questionnaires, in turn, to ensure you get each individual’s true response, having them side by side can be quicker if you’re inputting the responses from a paper copy. You can now flip either way on the Investment Experience and Attitude to Risk screens.

Finally, we’re getting ready to go all around the country for our next series of Dynamic Planner Events. Open to all advisers and paraplanners across the UK, free of charge, these quality Roadshows set in great locations provide a morning for you to learn and be inspired, whilst obtaining 2.5 hours of CPD. You will have the opportunity to network amongst peers as well as speak to Dynamic Planner professionals and asset managers from across the industry.

Part of the Dynamic Planner session will cover “A Geeks Guide to Risk Profiling” and so we’ve been spending the past few weeks looking at the trends that emerge from the data Dynamic Planner collects. As a taster for the session, take a look below at how the average risk level of individuals varies around the UK.
